Due to the success of the show we are now able to offer a Bursary each year to one or two Graduates of the BA Textiles, Knitting & Weaving, course at Coleg Sir Gar, Carmarthen School of Art, whereby they each receive £1000.00 to assist them in their new career and a stand at Wonderwool Wales the following year to showcase their work.
We also assist Wales Air Ambulance and Knitted Knockers UK with free stands at the show.
Money raised at the show through the mini bus service, Bag Creche and donation buckets, goes to The Wales Air Ambulance and NGO Molotok.
NGO Molotok is a cultural organisation established more than 10 years ago in the village of Nyzhnie Selyshche in Ukraine, which supports young people from disadvantaged rural communities giving them access to art workshops, classes and festivals. Since the war in Ukraine this has also become a shelter for young people and families from war affected areas in Ukraine. They provide food, accommodation and activities for children and young people. Volunteers also work to help them overcome their traumatic experiences.
We have also assisted the Blyth Tall Ship Knitted Gansey Project since its inception.
